Kindervelt #45 was established in 2000, and is comprised of long time friends, four of whom are still active in their neighborhood groups also.  We also have one associate member.

We met and our friendships formed during many years of shared experiences on the Kindervelt Board of Trustees, steering committees and various city / group projects in the 1990’s.  We calculated once and figured that we have over 100 years of board service and many more years of participating on Markt, Tennithon, National Collegiate Rowing Championships, Hoopla, World Figure Skating Championships and All About Kids steering committees!

In 2000, as our time on the board ended, we wanted to continue our friendships – so we formed Kindervelt #45.

We meet the second Wednesday of the month in our homes for lunch, of course, since conversation and food are so important to us!

Although we are now less involved, we continue to have a keen interest in Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and we still enjoy having fun while raising funds for Kindervelt.  We make cork trivets as our ongoing project, we support Markt with projects and workers, and we love to attend and support other group and citywide projects – especially if food is involved!
