KV#70 was established in 1988.  We all find it fulfilling to support the continuing excellent service offered at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and through the years, many of our members have been particularly grateful for the wonderful care their own children have received there.  We embrace Kindervelt's motto of, "Having Fun While Raising Funds", and we've had great times and made lasting friendships.

For the last twenty years, our largest fundraiser has been the Miami Trails Masters Golf Tournament, which is held each year in August.  Our group works in conjunction with residents of the Miami Trails neighborhood to organize, seek sponsors, and host the after-golf party (for the whole family), which includes silent and live auctions.

Our regular meetings often include laughter-inspiring themes, such as "silly accessory" night or "Ho-Ho-Ho!" wear.  We generally meet in a member's home on the evening of the second Thursday of the month.

We are fully involved in Markt by crafting, baking, and donating themed/decorated trees for the Walk of Trees and wreaths for the Wreath Affair.  We also donate items for silent and live auctions and for prizes for games at Preview Party.

This year we launched a new event:  An evening of sand volleyball, delicious food and beverages, and music at Grand Sands in Loveland.  We held it in early March, so it felt like a beach party in the middle of winter!  There was a very exciting volleyball tournament, involving players in a broad age-range (teen to senior.)  We greatly appreciated the donation of food and prizes from Marco's Pizza, Angilo's Pizza, Grand Sands, Shooter's Restaurant, Blue Chip Cookie Co., and others.

We have a Koins for Kids Box (change collection box) at Kids First Sports Center.

Lastly, our group sponsors families identified by the Social Services representatives at Children's Hospital by donating gift cards for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
