To know Nancy is to LOVE her!

She grew up and enjoyed her early years in Indiana. Both she and her husband, Joe were high school sweethearts. They attended Indiana University (IU) with Joe being accepted into medical school and Nancy working in the Health Care field.

A job at St. Luke Hospital (now St. Elizabeth) in Ft. Thomas brought them to Northern Kentucky. Joe changed positions and they moved to Montgomery and settled in and began raising their 3 daughters.

Kindervelt should have the song, BUS STOP, BUS STOP as our signature song. So many young women have been recruited as members while meeting other members at their kid’s school BUS STOPS. What a great way to learn about Kindervelt and become involved. Nancy joined and got right into the Kindervelt family. At first, she was a member of KV#22 in Montgomery with Sue Cosby. Sue’s group was always active, and Nancy did many jobs with #22.

The family was growing, they again moved, and Nancy joined #49 (Steeple Chase) as that group was in her neighborhood. She had met many of the members who also were tennis players competing at Harpers Tennis and Racquet Club. Kindervelt membership encourages involvement and Nancy certainly answered the call. She has been Group #49 President for many years, Treasurer, Markt, now Kindervelt Krafts rep, City Wide-Tennithon, served on many Gala Committees and Nominating Committees. Nancy is currently Co-Chair of KV Bowl: “Strike Up the Fun” on March 2nd at Stone Lanes.

One of Nancy’s favorite things is attending our KV Leadership meetings. She said that “it is a great learning experience and opportunity to meet newer members.” She also has coached tennis at Mt. Notre Dame HS and worked at several area Tennis clubs. Coincidently, she and Sheila Horan have played tennis against each other’s inter club teams over the years!

Nancy also enjoys reading, hiking, gardening and now being a grandmother to  their new baby Grandson. Life has come full circle. She feels that “Everything Happens for a Reason”.

Thank you, Nancy as your reason is Kindervelt!
